Assembly
Assembly of the Marcy MWM-7041 is extremely time-consuming due to the several parts that need to be assembled. But the process is simple and straightforward, and doesn’t even require two people. The manual includes detailed assembly instructions.
Some of the tools needed for assembly such as Allen wrenches are included in the package. However, users will also need a Phillips screwdriver, two adjustable wrenches, and a rubber mallet of their own.
Construction
Although the Marcy MWM-7041 Home Gym Cage System doesn’t come in the category of commercial-grade strength cages, it still has a robust construction that features a heavy-duty steel frame, which is coated with a corrosion-resistant powder finish and is built to last. Most steel parts are colored in black, although the catch bars, dip bars and safety bars have a chrome finish.
The construction is quite simple and has an H-type base. The rear upright bars are taller than the front ones. In all, the cage has 9 height positions for the safety bars and 11 positions for the catches. Obviously, there are 9 positions for the dip bars.
