NordicTrack T 6.5 S Treadmill is budget friendly home treadmill suitable for both walking and running. It comes with good motor and maximum user allowed weight, large number of built programs, it is iFit compatible, can be easily and quickly folded and unfolded etc.
NordicTrack T 6.5 S Treadmill comes with 2.6 CHP motor providing maximum speed of 10 mph (16 km/h) for the maximum allowed user of 300 pounds (136 kg). The motor provides a smooth and steady ride, but perhaps it could be quieter during operation.
Unit has motorized running deck incline between 0 - 10%, allowing the changes during running, without interruptions.
Treadmill comes with EasyLiftTM Assist telescoping system, which helps the user to lift and fold the deck up and down. NordicTrack T 6.5 S Treadmill folds easily when not in use and thus requires not much space for storage.
Also, unit comes with transport wheels for moving around when and if required. Personally, it should be positioned on permanent location, with or without protective mat and used as often as possible.
Running deck is 20 inches (~51 cm) wide and 55 inches (~140 cm) long. Such running deck provides plenty of space for walking, but people with longer running strides should pay attention to their running technique on 55 inch long running decks.
Running deck features so-called 'FlexSelect Cushioning System' commonly found on more expensive NordicTrack treadmills which allows the user to select softness of a running deck - a soft surface that is easy on the joints, or a hard surface that is more like running on the road.
With the running deck on the ground, unit's dimensions are (H x W x L) 56 x 35 x 72 inches (~142 x 183 x 87 cm). When the running deck is folded upwards, unit's dimensions are (H x W x L) 67 x 35 x 34 inches (~170 x 89 x 87 cm).
NordicTrack T 6.5 S is iFit compatible treadmill and in combination with motorized incline and Google Maps training routes, it can mimic running on a real track/road anywhere in the world.

NordicTrack T 6.5 S Treadmill console is of somewhat minimalistic design, but it has everything one needs for great running/walking exercise.
Console comes with a 5-inch backlit display, showing incline, elapsed time, time remaining, calories burned, covered distance, running speed, ¼ mile track, pace and the heart rate.
The T 6.5 S comes with 20 built-in workouts designed by certified personal trainers. Each program automatically adjusts user's speed and exercise time to meet a specific fitness goal. Although this treadmill is iFit compatible, user must has iFit subscription (paid extra!) to get additional workouts and to access other iFit features.
One touch buttons allow the user to set desired speed and incline with a single button. If required, speed and incline can be gradually adjusted, too.
Heart rate monitoring is available through dual CardioGripTM sensors on both handlebars. However, there is no option for wireless chest strap heart rate monitor.
Integrated sound system has dual 2" (~5 cm) speakers and accepts iPods or similar music devices via MP3/iPod compatible music port. But, there is no USB charging port.
Note: unit doesn't have dedicated slot/area for tablet or similar device, but such device can be placed onto the console - depending on the size of the tablet, it will cover at least part of the control buttons.
The NordicTrack T 6.5 S comes with a lifetime frame warranty, a 25-year motor warranty, and a 1-year parts and labor warranty.
Warranty conditions are good, especially for frame and motor, although for parts and labor it could be better. However, considering all the features and unit price, this is more than acceptable warranty.
Long Story Short: The NordicTrack T 6.5 S Treadmill is a good and affordable home treadmill. It offers home user almost everything what is required for regular cardio exercise at the privacy of home.
