Features of HARISON B8 Magnetic Recumbent Exercise Bike
Assembly of the HARISON B8 Magnetic Recumbent Exercise Bike is quite complicated and time-consuming. It takes more than 2 hours to put it together even with the help of another person.
Users can even purchase an assembly service; but reportedly, the licensed assembly guy also takes 2 hours to complete the assembly.
If done on one’s own, the user has to first connect the bases to the rear and front parts of the frame, then join the front and rear parts of the frame together, then attach the seat adjustment rail, then attach the seat, then seat handlebars, then the backrest, then the front mast, resistance dial, front handlebars, then console, then the two-in-one tablet holder+water bottle holder, and lastly the pedals. This takes at least 2 hours.
However, all the tools and hardware are included. Assembly video is provided.
The frame of the HARISON B8 is made of heavy-duty stainless steel and is coated with special baking paint which is environment-friendly, anti-rust, and corrosion-resistant.
The frame is made of two pieces – the front part consists of the drive and resistance elements, and the rear part consists of the seat assembly. Both these parts are to be connected to each other with screws while putting the bike together. At this joint, there is a small adjustable stabilizer. The front and rear bases of the bike are made of cylindrical tubes.
The front one has transportation wheels on its two ends whereas the rear one has polygonal caps on its two ends which act as stabilizers.
The HARISON B8 comes with a convenient step-thru design that helps users step in and out of the bike easily. This is very helpful for the elderly and disabled users.
Being around 60” long and 21” wide, the HARISON B8 takes up a fairly large space and thus may not be very appropriate for small spaces.
Maximum User Weight Capacity
The maximum user weight capacity of the HARISON B8 is 350 lbs. (158.8 kg).
With the transportation wheels and the lifting handle on the rear base, the HARISON B8 can be easily relocated wherever users want to. Users just have to tilt it to move it, without any heavy lifting.
The HARISON B8 weighs 77 pounds, but this weight makes the bike extremely stable. Plus it has a stabilizer at its middle where the front and rear parts of the frame join together. Plus the polygonal caps on the rear base serve as stabilizers.
The console of the HARISON B8 has a multi-functional LCD display that tracks workout stats including distance, time, speed, RPM, calories burned, and heart rate. It has odometer and scan functions too.
Heart Rate Monitoring
The handrails of the HARISON B8 have pulse rate sensors integrated in them. The bike is also telemetry heart rate monitoring enabled.
The HARISON B8 features a HARISON US Mute Magnetic control system that provides 14 levels of smooth magnetic resistance. Resistance can be adjusted with a dial placed on the front mast below the console.
By turning the dial clockwise, users can increase the resistance, while turning it counterclockwise, they can reduce the resistance. Levels 1 to 3 are for exercising users’ heart and lungs quickly, levels 4 to 6 are for advanced aerobics to burn calories, levels 7 to 10 are for strengthening leg muscles and levels 11 to 14 are for intensive training.
Because the resistance is magnetic, resistance elements don’t touch each other and hence operate smoothly and quietly. This also results in virtually no wear and tear of the brake system.
Seat and Backrest
The seat of the HARISON B8 is oversized measuring 15.7” x 11.4”, and hence is very comfortable. It comes with 2” thick high-density foam padding. The backrest is made of mesh material and thus allows air flow to keep users cool and comfortable.
The seat assembly is fully adjustable from front to back on a rail system, and can accommodate users of height from 4’8” to 6’4”. The backrest moves with the seat. While using the bike for the first time, users are recommended to move the seat with their feet on the floor after installing the seat.
There are two sets of handlebars on the HARISON B8 – one attached to the seat and the other to the front mast. The front handlebars have a multi-grip design. The seat handlebars have pulse sensors integrated into them. The distance between the two seat handlebars is 23” which is comfortable for most users.
The pedals of the HARISON B8 are extra-wide with an anti-slip design and adjustable straps to offer optimum comfort to users’ feet and prevent slippage.
The HARISON B8 comes with a 2+1 add-on placed above the console. This has a frame in the front serving as a tablet holder and a semi-circular bottle holder on the backside.
Plus there is another shelf placed at the bottom of the console where users can place their phone.
Warranty and Return Policy
The HARISON B8 is backed by a 12-month warranty on the whole bike and a lifetime warranty on parts. If users want to return the bike, they can do so within 30 days.
Maintenance of the HARISON B8 Magnetic Recumbent Exercise Bike is quite easy. Users just have to wipe the bike clean after every use, protect the console from any spills, and check for any loosened bolts and parts and tighten them if required.
