XTERRA Fitness TR300 Treadmill Features and Specifications
When assembled and ready for running, XTERRA TR300 Treadmill weighs 207 pounds (~94 kg) and its dimensions are (L x W x H) 72.2 x 35 x 54.1 (~184 x 89 x 138 cm).
Although unit features transport wheels, it is highly recommended to place it on the permanent location, preferably with the treadmill mat, to protect both the floor and the treadmill.
XTERRA TR300 Treadmill is made using welded steel frame (hence, it is far from being light), but it is also very sturdy treadmill, supporting the users up to 300 pounds (136 kg).
Unit is powered via 2.25 CHP (Continuous HP) commercial grade motor, providing speeds from 0 to 10 mph (0 - 16 km/h), which is enough for most runners.
Note: XTERRA TR300 Treadmill comes with lifetime warranty on the frame and motor and 1-year warranty on other parts and labor - very good warranty for home treadmill.
Running deck can be folded upwards, quickly and easily, thanks to the 'Lift Assist' system - such systems are practically standard even for cheaper home treadmills, but it is nice to have one.
By folding the running deck upward, storage footprint of the unit is significantly decreased.
XTERRA TR300 treadmill features 20 x 55 inches (51 x 140 cm) running deck, featuring 'XTRA Soft Cushioned Deck' technology which provides maximum impact absorption during workouts, minimizing the stress on ankles, knees and hips (and other joints) and providing a more comfortable workout, which is very important for people having issues with joints.
20 x 55 inches (51 x 140 cm) running deck is 'relatively' spacious running deck - it is more roomier than 20 x 50 (or 16-18 x 50) running decks, but people with extra long strides and those really tall will find 20 x 60 inches running decks more comfortable. Also, such treadmills cost more, since they must have stronger motors, larger rollers, thicker belts etc.
XTERRA TR300 Treadmill features 1.8 inches rollers and 2-ply 'Duraweave' heavy-duty treadmill belt.
One of very interesting features is motorized 0-10% incline, allowing the user to set incline without stopping.
XTERRA TR300 Treadmill comes with simple to use, but very effective console.
Again, it doesn't feature Bluetooth connectivity and hence, it doesn't support the use of various tracking fitness apps. Also, it doesn't support the use of chest strap heart rate monitor.
But, XTERRA TR300 Treadmill features 5.5 inches (14 cm) Blue Backlit LCD display which is easy to read during workouts and keeps the trainee updated on all the necessary information (current speed and incline, running time, covered distance, burned calories and current pulse). Also, it comes with 24 preset programs, heart rate control, and manual program, offering great variety for regular workouts - it's not like using Google Maps and running virtually through the streets of Paris, London, Vienna and similar cities, but the unit feature enough programs to prevent monotony, to say the least.
Handlebars come with controls for speed and incline and they also feature contact heart rate monitors.
Console also features an audio jack and speakers for MP3 player operation, a cooling fan, water bottle holders, and the built-in reading rack (media shelf).
Note: reading rack uses part of the console and if the tablet is placed, it covers part of the console, including the display and some of the controls.
