Walking for Exercise
Every spring and summer my weight, I lose 3-5 pounds almost automatically, simply because I walk almost every day for at least thirty minutes. So I'm living proof that walking for exercise works!
What I particularly like about walking ofr exercise is that it's a very sociable sport. Try talkingwhenyou're on the exercise bike or lifting weights. It'snot easy. But with walking, you can go with a friend and have a great chat while working off some extra pounds.
Walking is great for getting your blood pumping and those calories burning. In fact, it's essential if you plan to remain healthy and thin. And I think we all want to stay this way.
Most workout routines can be pretty involved, but with walkingall you have to think of is going for a thirty to forty five minute walk each day. Not that hard, is it?
And many people are now catching on to it. Fitness enthusiasts are dropping their gym memberships, because they are fed up paying monthly memberships.
Isn't it great when exercising can be free, and with walking for exercise, the side effects are minimal.
Compare it to running, which has been proven to have nasty effects on your body. For example, slamming the heals of your feet into the pavement below can really take a toll on your ankle and knee joints. In addition, running jars your insides. This can lead to the unnatural shifting of organs. I seriously doubt that anyone wants to deal with that.
So get out your walking shoes and hit the sidewalks. You'll be amazed at how well you get to know others in your neighborhood, and be nicely surprised when you step on the scales in the morning!
