Good, and you can take every thought you had about what a muscle building program should be, and just throw it out the window…
That’s because Vince Delhomme’s “No-Nonsense Muscle Building” program is unlike any other program out there…
So let’s start with one of Vince’s key facts:
Your muscles do not want to work any harder than they have to, and we must do exercises that are extremely demanding and involve the whole muscle.
Ready for a tough program, well let me get right to the point…
1. You think you’re going to get a nicely packaged 12 week program?
WRONG – Vince gives you a freakin’ Twenty Nine week program. And for those of us mathematically challenged, that’s 7 months, one week. Can you imagine how cool that is to have the next 7 months training taken care of?
2. “Oh good,” you’re probably thinking “an intense workout, that’s exactly what I need.”
WRONG – Vince is going to order you sit on your ass and do nothing but RECOVER during certain periods, because RECOVERY s is one of Vince’s secrets.
As he says, “When you are training at the limits of your muscular capacity, recovery is the missing link.”
Did you get that first part…”training at the limits”, which brings us too…
3. Stress. Not the kind you’re thinking of, but the stress you’re going to put on your muscles. With each and every trip to the gym…
Vince’s philosophy is specific, heavy, progressive, short, infrequent, and intense STRESS…
Oh, and by the way, it’s done with Heavy Weights, and Heavy Reps.
None of this namby pamby high reps, low weights crap…this is the real deal.
And each time you work out, it’s going to be at a level of intensity above your previous threshold…
And let me tell you, Vince has got an amazingly simple method of calculating intensity that makes it easy to compare this workout to your last.
4. As for Failure…there has to be lots on taking muscles to failure, for sure. It’s got to be in there, right?
Wrong – how about you just forget about what you know, or think you know about taking muscles to failure, because Vince’s program redefines what it really means.
But, let me give you a little clue…Vine believes in squeezing every single muscle fiber to the max…don‘t worry about failure, your muscles are going to be in shock!
5. “But at least I’m getting a plan” Okay you’re half right this time (and half wrong) – You’re getting more than just a plan.
Vince is going to hammer you over the head with goal setting. And it’s not your usual stuff, like “Gain 10lbs of muscle in 4 weeks”.
It’s more like “Perform exercises A,B,C,D each week for 4 weeks increasing your intensity each time (and he’ll tell you how this is done)”.
Do this, and guess what…you’ll gain that 10 lbs of muscle or whatever your performance is related to, AND, you’ll learn how to really set and meet your goals. Hey, you might even exceed them…
One last point….
