How to Loose Wieght

One of the most insightful comments I read came from an extremely successful person who posed the question ‘What price are you prepared to pay for what you want to achieve?”  And when it comes to learning how to loose weight, that’s the question we need to ask ourselves.

We’re overweight for a reason.  Perhaps we don’t like to exercise, or like to eat junky food.  Whatever it is, if you want to learn how to loose wieght, you’re going to have to make a decision that results in you “paying the price.”

And don’t think for a moment you can go half way on “paying the price” for weight loss.  You either stop the undesired habit or you will always gain the weight back.

The formula for losing weight

The formula for losing weight is very straightforward.  Total calories burned must be greater than total calories eaten.  Do this and you’re there.  Now let’s look at it in a bit more detail.

What we consume and whether or not we exercise is totally up to us. The question of how to loose weight is not the issue. It basically comes down to whether or not you're willing to take the initiative and do the work. If you choose to eat unhealthy food and never exercise, then that's your prerogative.

Everyone wants to know how to loose wieght, and loose it quickly. The truth is as we age we struggle more with weight gain because our metabolisms slow down. So slow down your food consumption. I know how to loose wieght, and much of it has to do with portions as well. Don't fall prey to the American portion size. It's way too large. Eat healthy, but in smaller amounts. More frequent meals with lighter portions are the way to go. This will also keep your metabolism burning better.

What your body needs to lose weight

There are some basics involved when it comes to shedding pounds. Sure, you want to know how to loose weight quickly, but are you willing to adopt a new lifestyle? Well, you always could take the easy way out and go get cut up by some plastic surgeon.

Let’s understand what your body requires. First of all, it needs plenty of vitamins and minerals. It doesn't need fast food and soft drinks. In fact, we typically get plenty of fat from the healthier foods we eat. Some fat is okay, and is even essential.

On the other hand, fast food provides far too much fat, cholesterol, and salt. Then there's all that sugar you get from soft drinks.

Please, do not include diet drinks as part of your diet.  I know they taste good and are only one calorie, but the sugar in them only helps to increase body fat, not lose it.

What your body needs is pretty simple, and yes, you already know the answer.  Your body simply requires lean meats and plenty of fruits and vegetables. Add several glasses of water to this each day and you're good to go.

Combine this diet with some exercise 3-4 days a week and you’re on your way to losing weight.
